General Event News

Things are really hopping, now that spring is here. Even with the snow it is all about the bike here in Panther Country. Meet with the Iowa County heads of state this past week and all routes for all of our events in 2010 have been given the ok! They all seemed like a great bunch of people to work with.

Feed the Need update- April 17
Things are about wrapped up, but I guess they better be with the event just four weeks away. We have had great support from local merchants including Piggly Wiggly, Swiss Valley, Klements, Pizza Hut, Southwest Health center & ShuttleGuy; as well as local civic clubs like the IG Lions, Lioness, Leos & MYFIG of Montfort. Thankyou everyone.

The Course looks to be in very good shape for this time of year. I drove it this last week and the county roads are completely clean and only one stretch of local town road has any gravel on it.

Panther Dash--June 5 & 6
I have been receiving alot of phone calls already about the event. So we may have a large event on our hands! With this event being held in conjunction with Montfort Big Days I think it will be something everyone (racers, their family's, volunteers, and local spectators) can enjoy.

The VFW are giving out a token to racers to come down to the tent for a free beer after the races. We will have free refreshments, open showers, and changing rooms after each race.

Remember:

Signup for the BMC and Panther Dash prior to the Panther Dash and recieve $5 off each race, just like last year. Also with early registration you are invited to a grill out at my house on Saturday Night and Campfire, I will also probably cruise the RR route that night on bike or by car(haven't decided yet). Sign in that day and come to the party for just $5. Beer, pop, cookout.

Free T-Shirt With Entry

Great news I have secured the timing for the 2010 Panther Dash Road Race. I have also confirmed that once the TT reaches 50 participants we will have chip timing for the that as well. So tell people to sign up now so I can confirm the professional timing

Feed the Need - a century charity ride for the Local Food pantries on April 17, Panther Dash Stage Race is a two day event - June 5 & 6; a Time Trial of 14 miles on day one and a Road Race of 39 miles on day two.
